Welcome to our directory of farmers markets . By no means an all encompassing list, it's a start. We need you to tell us about the neat small town, hidden gem markets you frequent. Our criteria is LOCAL - as close to the farm source as possible, and heavy on community spirit and involvement. In compiling this list - with help from you, and a remarkable resource - www.localharvest.org- we listed markets that we either know or would like to know in both the US and Canada. Since our readership is world wide - we're happy to add a market anywhere in the world - tell us about it!
At Connections for Women we happen to think that buying local, sustainable farming, fresh from the field or hen house, is the way to go. This directory is a small effort on our part to support the farmers who work so hard to bring "fresh" to the table. We're also interested in the chain and independent grocery stores that feature seasonal local produce.
